PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES TO MINIMISE RISK

The essential measures we will be implementing include:

  • A requirement that children who are ill stay at home.  If anyone else in the household is ill you must immediately inform the school and your child needs to self-isolate at home.
  • Thoroughly and frequently washing hands
  • Coughing into the crease of your elbow
  • Sneezing into a tissue and putting it in the bin before washing your hands (catch it, bin it, kill it).
  • Enhanced cleaning arrangements
  • Formal consideration of how to reduce contact, maximise distancing between those in school wherever possible and minimise potential for contamination so far as is reasonably practicable

At Wisdom we are planning on reducing contact in the following ways:

  • Grouping children together in class group bubbles
  • Avoiding contact between different year groups or bubbles
  • Asking staff to maintain distance from pupils not in their bubble and from other staff in school as much as possible
  • No salah in school, except Years 4, 5 & 6 who will be required to bring in their own travel prayer mats which will be labelled and kept in school.
  • Break and Lunch time will be staggered
  • Limited number of children allowed to visit the toilet at one time
